From butlers to blankets and sushi to sofas, here are the most luxurious cinemas in Dubai.

Are you sitting comfortably? Well, you will at these luxurious cinemas in Dubai. We’re not just talking about big screens and reclining seats, but cinemas where you can ask for a butler at the press of a button and they’ll bring you exactly what you want. A world of luxury awaits – think top-quality food and drink as well as snug blankets and cushions. Here are the best cinemas in Dubai where you’ll definitely want a rerun.

Azul at CinemaCity

At Azul inside Cinema City Fountain Views, guests can have an A-list experience whilst watching the latest blockbusters. Wave goodbye to waiting in concession lines and enjoy first-class comfort combined with a restaurant-style menu and waiter service. Offering 28 ultra-plush luxury recliners and a fully stocked bar, the theatre provides a dedicated bartender to take F&B orders at any point during the film. The Azul Lounge boasts a full kitchen and bar, which serves up eclectic Japanese fusion tapas dishes, including Wagyu beef tartare, yuzu-truffle seabass carpaccio and yellowtail in jalapeño infused ponzu, alongside grapes and hops. Horror Movie Room

Horror Movie Room not only screens classic as well as modern horror films, but brings them to gory life with actors. So sit back – or on the edge of your seat – as actors will be roaming the room and interacting with viewers during the film. And, as the cinema only accommodates eight people, you’re in for tricks and treats. Horror Movie Room has launched with a terrifying set list of films. Tickets are available for IT, the supernatural horror film that follows the evil clown, and Rings, which tells the story of a cursed video that kills viewers who watch it in seven days.

Jebel Ali Recreation Club

This cinema is worth the trip down to Jebel Ali. What makes the location special is that it opened back in the 1970s and is one of the oldest social clubs of its kind in the UAE. Today, it is home to the ultimate TV dinner: a Reel Cinema serving food from Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen. Take your pick from Hollywood blockbusters to Arabic films, which are shown across four screens. Settle into one of the plush red seats behind long wooden tables – no flimsy foldaway tray tables, thank you very much – and eat your restaurant-prepared meal in style. Oh, and it also has a fully licensed bar.

Paramount Hotel Dubai

Lights, camera, Paramount. When you enter Paramount Hotel Dubai, it feels like you’re on a movie set, so it comes as no surprise to find that it has one of the best cinemas in Dubai. We are talking two-seater navy velvet sofas and stand-alone yellow armchairs, both of which are perfect for getting comfy in and come with sturdy surfaces for your food and drinks. Best of all, the seats are spaciously spread out, as it only seats 60 people, so you can stretch those legs. Dig into Joe & Steph’s sliders, lobster rolls, truffle arancini or, if you want to keep it classic, freshly popped popcorn. Lookout for its film seasons, as the cinema previously screened classics like Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Top Gun for free to celebrate the studio’s 110th anniversary.

Raffles The Palm Dubai

Raffles The Palm Dubai’s private cinema is the A-listers of cinemas in Dubai. Relax in the leather reclining seats, which come with nifty mini tables for your food and drinks. If you get chilly – #dubaiproblems with air-con – request a blanket. The cinema previously screened crowd-pleasers ranging from Mamma Mia! to When Harry Met Sally, and snacks include popcorn, nachos and grape. Plus, since there are only 80 seats, the cinema experience feels like an intimate night out and attracts a sophisticated crowd. Translated: no need to hiss when a mobile phone goes off.

Reel Cinema’s Platinum Suites

You’ll feel like you’re in a first-class cabin when you visit Reel Cinema’s Platinum Suites. The cinema experience begins with a pre-movie lounge where you can order food and drinks, then continues inside with reclining leather seats with three settings. To top it off, at the press of a button, you can call your own personal butler. You’ll feel like the king of the world – well, the cinema, at least. If you want to get comfy (aka have an interlude snooze) ask for a pillow and blanket. We warn you: once you’ve experienced the Platinum Suites, normal cinemas in Dubai may no longer cut it.

The 15-screen multiplex inside Dubai Hills Mall is home to Xtreme – the Middle East’s biggest cinema screen.
