Sheikh Mohammed launches free bread vending machines in Dubai

The Bread for All initiative is part of the UAE’s zero hunger vision.

We’ve got vending machines filled with chocolates, water and now free bread. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched the new humanitarian initiative, Bread for All, for the underprivileged in the city.

The bread vending machines in Dubai have been created in collaboration with Aswwaaq supermarkets. In total, there are currently ten machines, which are available at various times of the day.

The smart machines can be found in Al Mizhar, Al Warqa’a, Mirdif, Nad Al Sheba, Nadd Al Hamar, Al Qouz, and Al Bada’a. The state-of-the-art smart machines deliver bread at the touch of a button. Once the bread is ordered, it is freshly prepared and dispensed from the machine – best of all, it’s free.

The Bread for All initiative is part of the UAE’s zero hunger vision. Sheikh Mohammed declared during the Covid-19 pandemic, “in the UAE, no one sleeps hungry or in need”, and the free bread vending machines in Dubai build on his vision.

We look forward to expanding the scope of cooperation with the initiative’s partners in the local community to reach the most beneficiaries.”

If you want to donate to the Bread for All initiative, you can on the Dubai Now app or through SMS with amounts from AED 10 to AED 500.
