Dancehall sensation Sean Paul is coming to Abu Dhabi

The “Gimme The Light” star will perform at the World Tennis League concerts.

If the tracks “Get Busy” and “Like Glue” get you on your feet, you’ll be pleased to hear that tickets are now on sale to see the Grammy-award-winning global superstar Sean Paul perform during the World Tennis League concerts in Abu Dhabi. Taking place at Etihad Arena on Saturday, 21 December, here’s what we know about the event.

Summer may be over, but with hits like “Temperature” and “We Be Burnin” under his belt, the dancehall and reggae maestro is sure to bring the heat when he shares the sage with R&B hitmaker Akon this December. Born Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, the Jamaican artist is known for his infectious rhythms and charismatic stage presence. Sean’s breakthrough came in the early 2000s with the release of his album Dutty Rock, which featured the international hit single “Gimme The Light,” which propelled him to global stardom. A feature on Beyoncé’s 2003 smash hit single “Baby Boy” sealed the deal.

During a career spanning more than two decades, Sean Paul has worked with the likes of David Guetta, J. Balvin, Kelly Rowland, Nicki Minaj and Sia. He has released eight studio albums and starred in 49 music videos while amassing 34.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

For the uninitiated, the World Tennis League combines the world’s top professional tennis players in an engaging team-driven format alongside electrifying concerts, culminating in what has been dubbed ‘The Greatest Show on Court’. Sean Paul will headline a special concert, which will close out a day of play from some of the world’s top tennis talent. The concerts also include AkonAnastacia and Bryan Adams.

Tickets to see Sean Paul at the World Tennis League are now available via Platinumlist and start from AED 299.
