For the Fall/Winter 2024 session, Hugo is teaming up with Istanbul-based Les Benjamins, known for its blend of East meets West. This collaboration aims to celebrate the histories behind both the fashion giants and how they’ve used creative expression to shed light on cultural discussions.

The Hugo x Les Benjamins collection offers a range of streetwear and accessories. From cropped jackets and modern-fit jackets to T-shirts, vests, sweaters, trousers, and trench coats, each piece is inspired by history, culture, and tradition. Expect to see a palette dominated by neutral tones of tan, white, and black, highlighted by the signature red Hugo markings.

The collection features symbols that tell stories of love, unity, and trust. Sketched swans on some pieces represent the bond between Turkey and Germany, whereas the embroidered roses signify love. The double-key sign, paying tribute to the “Key Kids” — children of Gastarbeiter who carried their home keys around their necks remains a highlight in the collection.

For those unversed with Les Benjamins, it was founded in 2011 by designer and photographer Bunyamin Aydin. The brand’s design philosophy of mixing traditional Turkish elements with modernity became an instant success and garnered a huge fan following. On the other hand, Hugo has always been reputed for its exquisite tailoring and signature street style, making this collaboration to be a long time coming.
