Catch American jazz sensation Gregory Porter in Dubai

UAE, we have some news that will be music to your ears. The American jazz sensation Gregory Porter is making his way to Dubai. He is famous for his fusion of blues, gospel and soul. On 2 November, he will perform at The Agenda, and here’s how to get hold of tickets.
Gregory hails from California, United States. He was one of seven children, and encouraged to sing when he was in church. After graduating from college, he received an athletic scholarship for San Diego State University. After a shoulder injury, his football career was cut short and he shifted his focus to music.
When he moved to New York, he started performing regularly across the city. He signed to Motema label and later signed to Blue Note Records. In 2010, he released his first album Water. His songs include Be Good, Consequences of Love, Holding On, Insanity and It’s Probably Me.
Today, Gregory has released seven albums and 18 singles. He has performed around the world, and is no stranger to the Middle East. In 2016, he performed on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. In 2023, he performed at the Abu Dhabi Festival. Over his career, he has won two Grammy Awards. He won Best Jazz Vocal Album twice: in 2014 for Liquid Spirit and in 2017 for Take Me To The Alley.
