AYLA Beach By Blu opens on Palm Jumeirah

The new beach club brings a touch of the Mediterranean to Dubai.

Dubai is home to world-class beach clubs. Now, a sleek spot has opened on Palm Jumeirah, courtesy of AYLA Beach By Blu. The venue includes a restaurant, lounge and pool. Specialising in Mediterranean cuisine, it boasts beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai Marina skyline.  

AYLA overlooks the sun, sea and sand, and aims to bring a touch of the Mediterranean to Dubai. The décor spans neutral colours with soft browns, beiges and whites, which are punctuated by green and red floral arrangements. The design includes rattan lamps, white walls, wooden seats and soft sofas. Take your pick from curved banquettes and tables for two.

AYLA brings together Lebanese influences and fresh ingredients. The cooking techniques combine traditional techniques with modern innovation. Superb for sharing, the menu spans hot and cold starters, meze, salads, seafood, pizzas, pastas, paella and desserts. The starters include Blu Fin Tuna Carpaccio, Tiradito de Branzino with truffle and salmon, and Wagyu Beef Tataki with truffle.

The main dishes include 48 Hours Slow Braised Beef Short Ribs, Bosphorus Sultan Kebab and Wagyu Tenderloin. The pizzas are inspired by Naples and include a Genovese with pesto, Lahmacun with flavoured meat and Verdure with vegetables.

The pastas include Lobster Linguine, Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli, and Truffle Tagliatelle. The desserts include a Mango Passion Fruit Tart, Rose and lychee blossom panna cotta with vanilla crumble, and Tarta Mi Fistik with pistachio.

The venue is from the team behind the nightclub BLU Dubai which is famous for its celebrity shows, and the BLU Oasis resort.

AYLA will also host events, although the details have not yet been confirmed.
