Chinawhite Sky Pool Dubai is coming to the city
The original nightclub attracted A-listers in London.
If you are a Londoner of a certain age, you’re bound to remember Chinawhite. The nightclub was popular with celebrities and often featured in the tabloid newspapers. Now, the concept is making its way to the UAE, in the form of Chinawhite Sky Pool Dubai. The opening date has not yet been confirmed, but here’s what we know.
Chinawhite Sky Pool Dubai will open on Palm West Beach on Palm Jumeirah. At the start of September, the brand posted a video showing the logo across the Burj Khalifa, helping build the hype around the launch. So far, we know that the concept will bring together dancing, nightlife, and pool parties.
Chinawhite was originally famous for being a nightclub in Soho, and it later moved to Fitzrovia. The venue attracted football players, models, singers and reality TV stars. The guests included Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Moss, Jemma Kid, Jude Law, Leonardo DiCaprio, Madonna and Mick Hucknall, and, reportedly, Prince Harry. The London venue was often in the headlines and attracted paparazzi outside the venue.
Today, the Chinawhite group owns and operates nightclubs in Birmingham, Manchester, and Newcastle. Chinawhite will join a range of venues located on Palm West Beach. The area is home to bars, restaurants, and beach clubs, including Above Eleven, Akabeko, Barfly by Buddha-Bar, Esco-bar, EVA Beach House, February 30, Kyma Beach, Maison de la Plage, Ristorante Loren, and SĀN Beach.
