The development could be the world’s second-tallest building.

Dubai is home to dazzling designs, from the curve of Burj Al Arab to the height of Burj Khalifa. Now, it has been reported that the homegrown developer Emaar plans to build the new Emaar Super Tower, a project to rival the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa.

According to reports, Emaar’s founder, Mohamed Alabbar has been working on a new design for what has been dubbed the “Emaar Super Tower”. The design is expected to combine cutting-edge technology with sustainable practices. The location has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to be near Dubai Creek or Downtown Dubai. The structure suggestions span a glass tube and rocket-style, which includes futuristic and gothic elements.

The Middle East has been welcoming headline-making constructions. Azizi Developments announced Burj Azizi on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. The building will be 725 metres tall and is scheduled to be completed by 2028. It will also boast an observation deck.

The residential offerings range from one- to six-bedroom units. The amenities will include shopping malls, boutique stalls, fine-dining restaurants, and sports centres. Plus, it will be home to a Four Seasons hotel.

As for the OG. Construction on the Burj Khalifa began in 2004, and it was completed in 2009. The building was officially opened in 2010, and is home to Armani Hotel Dubai, residences and At.mosphere restaurant. The building stands at a record-breaking 828 metres high.
