The world’s fastest-growing entertainment concept will arrive in the Kingdom with the opening of three Topgolf facilities in Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province. Founded in the United Kingdom before taking the US by storm, Topgolf will offer a casual and fun sporting experience that blends American dining, live music and a computer game-inspired driving range. Opening dates for the sporting facilities have not been confirmed, but here is what we do know.
A partnership between Golf Saudi, the Kingdom’s leading commercial developers of golf, and Topgolf Callaway Brands, Topgolf is a game that anyone can play (and win) where points are scored by hitting micro-chipped golf balls at giant dartboard-like targets on an outfield. The closer you get the ball to the centre or ‘bullseye’ and the further the distance, the more points earned – it’s as simple as that!
Topgolf inspires people of all ages and skill levels – even non-golfers – to come together for playful competition and because the microchipped balls instantly score themselves, players are immediately able to see the accuracy and distance of their shots on a TV screen in their hitting bay.
The fun and games don’t stop with the sport, as Topgolf in Saudi Arabia will also include a menu of American-inspired food and drinks. Making for a fun dinner date or social outing with friends. Topgolf is renowned worldwide for its combination of big-screen TVs and music in climate-controlled hitting bays to ensure all-season comfort.
