INKO NITO is expanding from London to Saudi Arabia

The Japanese concept offers a robatayaki experience with a twist.

Saudi Arabia is filled with exciting restaurants, from homegrown brands to celebrity chefs. Now, it is set to welcome a big brand. The Kingdom’s MJS Holdings is behind a range of restaurants and will open the Japanese concept, INKO NITO.

INKO NITO pitches itself as an unconventional Japanese concept that offers a twist on the classic robatayaki experience. The restaurant was founded by Rainer Becker, who is also the co-founder of the sister brand to ROKA and Zuma. In 2018, the original restaurant opened in Soho, London, and now it is expanding to Saudi Arabia, although the location has not yet been confirmed.

If the London restaurant is anything to go by, diners are in for a treat. INKO NITO brings together Japanese and Korean influences, and the robata grill is at the centre of the restaurant. The London menu spans snacks, salads, raw and rolls, robata and desserts. The robata dishes include INKO Steak Frites with spicy beef, and INKO Burger with Wagyu, truffle cream cheese and a brioche bun. Plus, Miso Canadian Black Cod with pickled daikon, Bone Marrow with smoked soy, and Salmon Fillet with ruby grapefruit.
