The 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony will be held on the River Seine, which runs for more than 700 kilometres through the capital. The parade will run for six kilometres, and depart from Austerlitz Bridge and end at the Trocadéro. The parade will include 10,500 athletes from around the world, and the traditional lighting of the Olympic cauldron. The games will be formally opened by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

The ceremony is set to be the largest in the world – and everyone is welcome. Fans do not need tickets to access the upper quays, but do need tickets to access the lower quays. Plus, 80 screens and speakers will be situated throughout the route.
