Russian chef Vladimir Mukhin brings Sakhalin Dubai to J1 Beach

The White Rabbit chef is behind the cool concept.

J1 Beach in Dubai looks set to become a desirable dining destination. The stretch of beach will be home to exciting bars, restaurants and beach clubs. Now, Sakhalin Dubai has been announced, and is a creative collaboration between restaurateur Boris Zarkov, chef Alexey Kogay and White Rabbit Family’s brand chef, Vladimir Mukhin.

Inspired by Sakhalin Island, Russia, the location acts as a crossroads for two cultures. Sakhalin is an island in the Pacific Ocean, north of Japan. The brand can already be found around the world in cities including Bodrum, Moscow, and Istanbul. If the existing venues are anything to go by, Dubai is in for a terrific treat.

Sakhalin Dubai

Sakhalin Dubai’s menu combines elements of Asia and the Mediterranean, from the cuisine to cooking techniques. Each dish aims to take diners on a discovery of flavours. On Instagram, one post shows a Watermelon Salad. The caption states: “When the temperature rises, our Watermelon salad comes to the rescue. A delicious blend of textures and refreshing flavours, it’s perfect for cooling you down on even the hottest days. At Sakhalin Dubai, anticipation is worth the bite.”

The terrace boasts light blue and white seats on the terrace. The interior space includes a classy, contemporary look with a bar, countertop dining and plush sofas. Plus, a generous wine cellar and even a fish tank.

Vladimir Mukhin is a Russian chef who started his career when he was 12 years old. He is famous for being the head chef at White Rabbit and Krasota Dubai and for being featured on the Netflix documentary Chef’s Table
